-Details-The Sawtooth Wilderness area of central Idaho has a long history of producing outstanding quality deer. There are both typical and non typical deer with lots of mass and height. South facing slopes are primarily sage brush and bitter brush with scattered patches of timber making this country excellent deer habitat. Early hunts in the high elevations require glassing the open side hills early in the morning and late in the eventings. Mid days are spent glassing bedding areas and still hunting in the timber.
